Privacy Policy

Overview

ZUV is a skin refinement app for photos and video. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data ZUV collects (very little) and how it is handled.

On-Device Processing

All photo and video processing in ZUV happens entirely on your device. Your images and videos are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party service. They stay on your phone at all times.

Face Data

ZUV applies skin refinement effects to photos and videos that may contain faces. Here is how ZUV handles face data:

• Collection: ZUV does not collect, extract, or store any face data. No facial geometry, facial feature maps, or biometric identifiers are created or recorded.
• Processing: All skin refinement is performed entirely on your device using GPU shaders. The processing applies smoothing and texture adjustments to user-selected areas of an image. On-device face detection (facial landmark detection) is used purely to position skin refinements accurately; it runs entirely on the device and no face data is ever stored or transmitted.
• Storage and retention: ZUV does not retain any face data. Processed images and videos exist only in your device's photo library. No face data is stored in the app, on our servers, or anywhere else.
• Third-party sharing: No face data is shared with any third party. Since face data is never collected or transmitted, there is nothing to share.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect, store, or transmit your photos or videos
• We do not collect face data, biometric data, or facial geometry
• We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, or location

Advertising Measurement

Only with your permission — granted through the App Tracking Transparency prompt — ZUV measures the number of app downloads (installs) and subscription sign-ups, solely to evaluate how effective our advertising is. That is all we measure, and nothing more. If you decline the prompt, the app continues to work fully.

Subscription and Purchase Data

If you subscribe to ZUV Pro, your purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your subscription status from Apple — no personal information is shared. You can review RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Camera and Photo Library Access

ZUV requests access to your camera and photo library solely to allow you to capture or select images and videos for editing, and to save your refined results. These permissions are only requested when you use the relevant feature, and the data never leaves your device.

Children's Privacy

ZUV is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page.
